What if you live up to 80s or More and have No Teeth?

We proudly provide quality dental care to the community of Ingleside, Waukegan, and  Wheeling, IL and surrounding areas.

Thank you for visiting my website.  If you landed on this website, that means that you are looking for a dentist and you need some help with your teeth or gums, right?  Obviously!  I know you are one of many people who hate going to the dentists.  I know it for a fact, and I understand that going to the dental office is not a favorite thing to do, and many people can’t even go to sleep the night before their dental appointment.  Also, the fear factor plays a major role, which causes delayed treatment and even worsening of existing problems.  As you know, if you wait until the last minute, the time and money it takes to fix one tooth or multiple teeth can be quite an issue for a lot of people, especially in this economy, as far as costs are concerned.  And from the dentist’s perspective, the chance of failure in treatment results, which means having a bad prognosis, are greatly increased if you come in for help with a badly decayed tooth.

Let me give you a fact: according to data compiled by the Social Security Administration, a man reaching age 65 today can expect to live, on average, until age 84, and a woman turning age 65 today can expect to live, on average, until age 86. Those are just averages. About 1 out of every 4 people at the age of 65 years today will live past age 90, and 1 out of 10 will live past age 95.  The quality of life is totally different when you have teeth versus when you don’t have teeth or have missing teeth.

Here is another fact: researchers from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in the UK discovered the presence of a bacterium called Porphyromonas gingivalis in the brains of patients who had dementia when they were alive. The bacterium is usually associated with chronic periodontal (gum) disease.  Do you understand now why you need to take care of your teeth?

Also, the need for invasive dental treatment increases the bacterial risk in your brain.  So, routine check-ups and taking care of your teeth while things are more manageable is extremely important.

Hi, my name is Dr. Joo Kwon, and my wife is Dr. Min Kwon.  Our patients call us Dr. Kwon and Dr. Min, just to distinguish between us since we have the same last name.  I have been practicing general dentistry since 2000, and she has been practicing since 2003.  So, we have over 25 years of experience combined.  Between Dr. Min and I, we work out of 3 offices located in both Lake and Cook counties in the beautiful state of Illinois.

We can provide various services available in dentistry, including gum treatment, minor gum grafting procedures, crowns and bridges for both non-cosmetic and cosmetic cases, full and partial dentures, root canal treatments, dental implants, dentures with implants (which stay in the mouth much better for easier chewing),  and braces.  We also work with various dental specialists if the patient needs to be treated by them, and we help you decide who to see and where to go.  That is all part of the services we have been providing for many years.

If you are currently looking for a dentist, we would like you to try us and our staff members.

You can check out our reviews and some offers that are located at the bottom of this page, and if you like what you see, enter your name and email to contact us..

Don’t worry! We don’t sell your name or email to anybody.   You will also see our main website after clicking the submit button.  When you enter your name and email, as a thank you gift, we will send you some helpful dental care tips, and occasionally, we may send out some special promotions just for you. Just in case you are worried about how far our office is from your house, I made sure that you can only see our website if you live within a 15-mile radius from one of my offices (thanks to Google).

I thank you again for visiting our website.  I hope you can visit our office so that we can meet you in person.

One last thing before I leave you: brush twice a day, floss once a day, and use a Waterpik water flosser before you go to sleep at night.  If you follow these three suggestions, your teeth will last a long time.

I hope you have a great day!

– Drs. Kwon and Staff
